「素晴らしい(amazing)本です」とあるのには、少々恥ずかしい思いがしますが、「ラストが美しく書かれています」と記されているのは、とてもうれしかったです。
ラストのシーンは、何回も書き直したからです。

Dear Hisamotosan,
Thank you so much for sending me this amazing book.
I started reading and I was immediately sucked into the world of どんた,ちゅんこ,ふなじい,まむし,もろこ and からきち.
Everything is so realistic and well-written, you feel like you’re actually there, but there is also a certain kind of warmth you can only find in this book.
（Though I was devastated when my favorite character, からきち, died）
You express the beauty of nature in such a short book and teach your readers not to destruct nature, but to protect it.
It was interesting to read a story written from an animal’s perspective.
The ending was so beautifully written, with the starry sky.
Today, we need to remember to protect nature and not go overboard with buildings.
